In order
to make it across Borg space and make it home, Janeway forges an
alliance with the Borg. In order to make the alliance work,
Janeway requests Tuvok to join her on the Borg cube to develop the
nanoprobe weapon with the assistance of Borg technology, as well as a
Borg representative, Seven of Nine. When an un-expected bioship
appears, the Borg cube sacrifices itself to save Voyager, but not before
several Borg drones, Janeway and Tuvok are beamed to Voyager. It
is then up to Commander Chakotay, who never agreed with Janeway's plan,
to carry out the alliance when Janeway is critically injured and unable
to return to duty.

Kes's telepathic abilities begin to
develop, following her telepathic communications with Species 8472
several days before hand. As Kes continues to explore her
abilities, she soon discovers an alternate dimension, a plane of higher
existance. However, when she begins to explore this phenomenon,
she begins to "resonate", and causes the ship extensive damage.
Not willing to stop using her telepathic abilities, Kes decides to leave
Voyager and enter this new plane of existance.
Meanwhile, Captain Janeway tries to
find the human hidden underneath layers of Borg circuitry that is Seven
of Nine.
Outcome: Voyager gets
thrown 9.5 years closer to home. Assuming they were 75,000 light
years from Earth, and they had traveled 3,000 light years in three
years, they are now only 62,500 light years from Earth (or 62.5 years
