This is a photo of my Aunt Estie (Kratz) Appel with the Rosenheck cousins taken in Huste but if not there then Luh.I think this one dates from the early 1940's.My Aunt Estie (Kratz) Appel is on the right. Her Husband, Fred Appel, was in the Kracow Ghetto during World War 2.He was on Schindler's List and worked in the Schindler Factory.During this time he managed to cook off potatoes in the machines and give smuggle them to his sister. They did survive the war thanks to Schindler. My Aunt Estie was in Auschwitz and was forced on a march as the Germans retreated. She was put into labor camps till she was liberated.
